Elysium Ltd is a successful software development company in Sussex, established in 1991. The focus of our work is mainly, yet not exclusively, upon web delivered applications across a broad range of development environments.
We believe in "doing it the right way, first time", writing clear, high quality and maintainable code.
We are currently looking for a programmer to join our growing development team. Your responsibilities will include supporting and developing our existing software products as well as being instrumental in new developments.
You will be expected to work individually on small projects, as well as collaborating with our existing team on larger deliverables. Whilst the main focus of the role is development, your opinions and contributions to the analysis and design process will be valued. It is of great importance to us that we have input from the whole team.
The role will present consistent technical and design challenges to which a well engineered solution is the only option.
The successful candidate will have an excellent technical background proven with education or commercial experience. Our overriding requirement is an ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of programming principles. You will be required to work on new platforms/concepts and to approach every challenge with logic, enthusiasm and above all, attention to detail. You will be aware of impact of bugs upon product quality and customer opinion.
You will be a quick learner with the ability to listen, understand and put it into practice. You will have a desire to learn about the industry and to progress your career.
We actively encourage a broad skill set in our development team. You will need to demonstrate experience in at least two of the following:
